Tim's Background & Qualifications

EDUCATION
 
Timothy Hyland graduated Cum Laude in 1997 from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville (UT) receiving his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration degree and majoring in Accounting.  While at UT, Tim was a member of Delta Sigma Pi national professional business fraternity, as well as playing in the percussion section of the “Pride of the Southland” marching band. 
 
WORK EXPERIENCE
 
Tim began his career in the financial services profession in 2001. In 2002, he joined Professional Economic Growth Group where he has since attained his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation from Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Financial Planning Program.  In addition, Tim is an Investment Advisor Representative and Registered Representative of his broker-dealer, Hornor, Townsend & Kent, Inc.
 
Prior to his financial services career, Tim was a Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in New York City.  In May 1999, Tim passed the CPA exam.  While at PwC, Tim performed audit procedures on clients within various industries, including insurance companies, banks, and investment advisors.  In addition, he consulted with registered representatives of client companies to ensure compliance with the National Association of Securities Dealers and the Securities and Exchange Commission.  Some of his clients included New York Life, State Farm, MacKay Shields Financial Corporation, AXA-Equitable, Prudential, and Barclay’s Capital.
  
PERSONAL
 
Tim is married and has a daughter, and lives in Hunterdon County, NJ.
